Update: iRun for Kids Race Rescheduled for October 17, 2020
Due to the recent announcement from the Governor’s office, the iRun for Kids race, originally scheduled for Saturday, March 14th has been postponed. The Governor’s office has banned all large gatherings of over 250 people statewide for the next four weeks. In addition, schools have been closed and all non-essential school-associated gatherings have been suspended.
We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience and support as we navigate this complex situation. We are looking forward to seeing you at iRun for Kids this fall! Additional iRun for Kids event updates will be posted at www.albanypsf.org.
Q&A
Q: What is the new date for iRun for Kids 2020?
A: Saturday, October 17, 2020
*With the expectation that things are back to normal, the Covid-19 virus is under control, and all State restrictions on gatherings have been lifted.
Q: What are the registration options if that date doesn't work for my schedule?
A: All registrations will automatically be transferred to the new October 17, 2020 date. If that date does not work with your schedule, we can transfer your registration to the March 13, 2021 iRun for Kids race. There is no need to decide now, we will open up the 2021 race site early fall and can make the transfer at that time.
Q: Can I get a refund?
A: Per the agreement each runner entered into when registering for iRun for Kids, refunds will not be granted. We appreciate your understanding.
Q: I pre-ordered merchandise (shirt and/or sweatshirt), how will I receive it?
A: The merchandise is currently stored in our office which is located on Greater Albany Public School District property. Due to school closures, we do not have access to our office at this time. We want to get your merchandise to you as soon as possible and are hoping to schedule an "iRun shirt pick-up" when the Governor's office lifts the ban on large gatherings and non-essential school activities.
Again, thank you for your support and understanding!
Sincerely,
Albany Public Schools Foundation
P.S. All proceeds from the race support Albany Public Schools Foundation and programs such as classroom grants for teachers, elementary enrichment, suicide prevention, and scholarships for graduating seniors. Your support makes a huge difference for Albany kids!
